Nepal Trek - The Three Passes and Everest Basecamp

One of the most popular treks in the whole of the Himalaya, the Three Passes takes you over the Renjo La, the Cho La, and the Kongma La, through some of the most spectacular high mountains on the planet. Yes, you’ll be surrounded by the world’s most famous peaks, including Everest, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Tramserku, Lhotse, Nupste, Cholatse, and many more.

This is a strenuous trek - all three passes are over 5000m high - and during your time with us walking this beautiful route you’ll be accompanying our Three Peaks and Three Passes - Khumbu Mountaineer expedition throughout, apart from when they head up onto their three mountains you’ll spend more time in the valley visiting other wonderful sights including Everest Basecamp.

Highlights include:

  • Trek the Three Passes Route - Renjo La (5345m), Cho La (5420m), and Kongma La (5535m)

  • Acclimatise on Sumdur Peak above the village of Thame (4500m)

  • Another superb acclimatisation peak on Gokyo Ri (5357m)

  • A third acclimatisation peak on Kalapattar (5545m)

  • Another superb mountain you can climb - Chukkung Ri (5546m)

  • Visit Everest Basecamp

  • Visit the Climber’s Memorial at Duglha

Arriving in Kathmandu on November 5th, and departing for home on December 3rd, 2027

£3800 per person - land only price (6 places available)

This is a fully supported trek, based mainly in lodges throughout, but camping in tents on a few of the nights. The cost includes in-country transport and flights, guiding throughout, food throughout excluding lunches and dinners in Kathmandu, lodges on trek, all group camping equipment, and hotel nights in Kathmandu at the start and end of the expedition.

Not included are international flights, your personal trekking and camping equipment, insurance suitable for 5500m Himalayan passes, tips for staff and guides, additional drinks (including all alcohol), and lunches and dinners while in Kathmandu.

This expedition is suitable for any fit mountain walker. The passes are relatively non-technical, but may require the use of microspikes if snowy underfoot. Contact Graham Uney in advance (below) if you aren’t sure about your suitability for this trek.
