Mongolia Trek The Gobi Desert
More of a cultural and sightseeing tour than our usual treks and mountaineering expeditions, this exploration of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia is one that should not be missed!
When you think of the Gobi Desert you probably think of sand dunes, and you'd be right! However, only around 3% of the Gobi Desert is sand. We'll visit the wildlife-rich Lammergeier's Valley, and walk at the Flaming Cliffs in search of dinosaur eggs! Enjoy the Singing Sands of Khongor, and the beautiful White Stupa Cliffs. Every day is packed with amazing sights and sounds of the Gobi.
We'll meet you in Ulaanbaatar and enjoy a cultural tour of the city before heading south for the Gobi. Using tented camps, we'll travel through the desert, meeting the nomadic people of this fascinating region along the way.
We'll finish with a visit to see Genghis Khan, or at least his statue! The famous Tereji National Park and the Chinggis Khan statue complex.
